I’ve been wanting to use this product for at least half a year now, and it’s finally here! YE. Anyway, back to the first impression. Wax in spray form, never have I seen or heard of it until recently. The packaging is pretty normal; it’s wrapped in a white film/plastic. The product itself is like a hair spray product where there’s a cap at the top and you press down to spray. You don’t get a lot of “wax” in this product but don’t feel gimped. You only need to spray about twice to do a nice hairstyle.
When you spray the product onto your hair it feels like a hairspray. Like most waxes, it will allow your hair to clump together and give off a natural, textured look. But there’s a catch with this wax. Other than it being really light and easy to use, this product spreads into your hair evenly, allowing no saturation and no greasy look. It’s very good for long and medium hair styles.
| Pros | Cons |
| Easy to use | Needs some skills to maximize purpose of this product |
| No shine Matt look | Not enough product in bottle |
| For medium to medium long hair | Price |
| No smell | |
| Easy spread of product | |

I generally agree with the pros and cons of this review. I need to emphasize, tho, that for the price there isn’t enough product. The packaging makes the spray look a lot larger than it really is (half the bottle is just the cap!).
I haven’t mastered how to apply this product. I followed the examples Shiseido provided (which are back on youtube!). One thing to make sure is to really scrunch or rub the product until its dried, otherwise you’ll end up with a wet look.
For styling, I think thinning the hair and applying the spray liberally will help.

How’s volume on these babies? All the pics above look like they’re nice for some textured, piecy looks. I imagine if you want to do anything comparable to plain old Gatsby or ordinary wax you’ll have to use your hands to work into your roots anyway; which also kinda eliminates the functionality and “no mess mentality” of this product…
Still, it looks pretty nifty. I’ll have to pick some up when I head to Hong Kong later in the summer.

Did you have to use hairspray to make it last all day?
