Ever find yourself trying to save expensive products? I’m always trying to use the least amount of Gatsby as possible simply because it’s hard to get a hold of within the area I live. I feel a bit guilty when I use a good amount, just to go down to the mall. So, looking for a cheaper and easier to obtain alternative; I came across Taft Full On Spiking Glue. Although not exactly the best alternative, I find that I use half the amount of Gatsby I usually use when using the spiking glue. It’s best used to get stiff tips at the end of spikes, but if used fully to create spikes, it gives a sticky wet look. Great as a side kick, bad as a hero, in other words ==“

The product, like the name suggests, is very sticky; and when dry, it can become very stubborn and difficult to change or modify your hairstyle. The hold on this bad boy; read from the label is “Ultimate hold 6.” 6 being the highest. It’s also water resistant, so your style won’t be lost in bad weather. Its hold time is quite amazing actually. I went as far as keeping it in my hair for a week (not suggested) to test its durability. After a full week, the product still managed to do a good job of holding it together.
The smell is also a plus. Its got some kind of candy smell to it. A mixture of candy and a small hint of strawberry. Washing it out can be a pain without a good shampoo. Since it’s water resistant, it’ll fight against the water and eventually leave you with crusty, frizzy hair. Again, I have to mention the fact that it is recommended for tips of the hair only.
You can buy Taft Full On Spiking Glue quite cheap online. I got mine from a DB Hair Salon for $8 AUD. You could find a better deal online if you look around.
| Pros | Cons |
