Lets just put it this way, its better to burn your wax then to burn your hair thats only if you burn your wax. Theres probably many reason why to use wax first the biggest two that I found was just for simplicity and to avoid damaging your hair

The heat makes the wax fuse into ur hair where there’s tiny hole particles…

So basiaclly your wax coating ur hair and it gets really hard to wash out then, because it’s heat bonded with ur hair.
