I decided to try some other products (this time actually observing the product to see if It works well with my hair) and I stumbled upon this product. Osis+ Rough Up modeling clay. When I seen this product I was a bit worried that it wouldn’t work on my hair, but I decided to look it up and see what it actually does for your hair. So I decided to pick it up and try it out. Where I bought this product it had costed me about $21 Canadian so it was an expensive product (which was also why I was a bit nervous buying it) but, it was a professional product so I decided to try it out.
My first impression was that it would be hard in your hair (mainly because the texture of the product was very hard so I thought it would do the same thing). The product comes in 75ml (so about, if not the same as Gatsby moving rubber). When I opened the case, it had no scent (sorry for you Gatsby scent lovers) then again, most of the time the scent of the product doesn’t even stay in the hair so it didn’t matter. When I tried to get some clay to try it out, the material was quite hard to take out. I was getting worried that the product didn’t suit me.
When I used this product I wasn’t sure that it was a good buy. I started to look at how the product works, and it turns out to be very positive. One thing I’d like to point out right away was how there were no clumps of clay stuck in your hair when you put it on.
This is good because it means you can spread the product easier end evenly without worrying it being stuck in big clumps. The second thing I’d like to point out is that it adds a bit of shine (in my opinion, it doesn’t add too much, but some people want absolutely no shine at all). The product also holds up very well too. I only used about 1 finger of product and it help my hair up the whole day (my hair is about short-medium length). So everything’s looking positive: no clumps little shine, and good hold, but the thing that I liked the most was how it washed off. I was very pleased by how it washed off. Many people that uses Gatsby tend to complain on the difficulty on it washing off of their hair, but this product washes off MUCH more easily than Gatsby. It seems as if you don’t even need shampoo and the product is gone.
The way it sticks on your hair is hard to believe that it washes off very easily. The only thing that I found was a drawback was that it takes time to actually know how to use this product because if you over saturate your hair, it will look very awful. So in conclusion, I found that this product was a great buy and definitely great for short to medium hairstyles. Good control, little shine, holds for the whole day, and easy to wash off. Only thing to watch out is to not over-saturate your hair.
| Pros: | Cons: |
| Good control | Easily over-saturated |
| Little shine | No scent (some people like their smell in products) |
| Does not clump up | Quite expensive for the amount your paying for |
| Holds for the whole day with little product needed | |
| VERY easy to wash off | |
