How to apply Hair Product (Wax / Clay)

Written by: Col

Introduction:

One of the biggest problems of using any hair product is not knowing  how much to use and how to prepare it. If you apply too much product to your hair, it will cause the hair to become heavy, sticky, and too shinny. It is better to under apply then to apply too much, simply because you can apply more afterwards, but applying too much, you can not remove it from your hair without washing and having to starting over.

Step 1:

Finger, finger, finger, this is the amount you should be using, a finger amount. Do not use more than this, unless you know what you are doing.

Step 2:

Rub, Rub, Rub, get the product all over your hands, between your fingers, make sure its evenly spread on your hand. If you are using clay you should be rubbing until its hot, and very flexible.

Step 3:

Make sure both hands look like this! No blobs of product, and looks semi clear.

**You may see a clear white layer**

What not to do!

Too much hair product, will result in a very visible white layer, and when applied to hair, will make your hair too heavy, wet, and little blobs of visible hair products.

Play it clean, start with little amount.

Now start styling!
