Heat Defence Sprays – Product Review

Got2B Guardian Angel Spray

I saw this product on sale at 2 for £4 at Sainsbury the other day and decided to buy it!

It is usually sold for £4 a bottle here in the UK.

From my own experience, I haven’t seen any significant effects from this spray. I can only trust that it is actually doing its job.

The bottle itself is badly designed. If you turn the bottle upside down, you will see that over about 10 minutes, you’ll see a bit of leakage.  It smells quite nice.

Pros:

1)     It has a rather nice smell.

2)     The bottle looks nice, automatically makes it a must-get item.

3)     I usually use it as a “let’s just blow dry” spray.

4)     No extra hold, good for flat styles. (ie. Uber straight flat girl hair)

Cons:

1)     It hasn’t got a BIG effect that is noticeable.

2)     It doesn’t really feel like you have anything put on. So it can actually be a pro SLASH con.

Loreal Studio Line Hot Straight Spray

I saw this product at Sainsbury on sale for £0.80 the other day. YES! 80p. What the ****?! That’s a definite buy. Usually it’s listed at around £3.00.  The spray smells nice.

I’ve recently started buying lots of Loreal products so I guess I was kind of pulled more towards the “I will buy it” side.

I tried it out; I straightened my hair the night before I slept. It worked really well. I woke up and my hair was still fluffy and puffy :D .

This definitely makes your hair really soft and silky, JUST as it says on the bottle.  This gives more of a nice “hold” without “the hard feel”. It’s a nice product overall. Keeps your hair feeling fluffy and thin after straightening i. It keeps the “just straightened” look and it even survives a heavy night of sleeping on it.

The bottle is designed slightly better than Got2B’s but it also isn’t as attractive.

Pros:

1)     It has a really nice smell

2)     The bottle is good, doesn’t leak

3)     It keeps the “fluffy, just straightened, thin” look throughout the day and survives even sleeping

4)     No extra hold, it keeps hair up

Cons

No cons if you ask me : )

Charles Worthington Results Heat Defence Spray

I saw this product ages ago, it’s quite expensive. It was on sale for £2, MAJOR cut.

It smells quite feminine.

I’m GUESSING it will be good to give a frizz-free shiney straight look for females that want that hair.

It’s got quite a strong hold, so over using it can help keep hair up for guys.

It makes your hair STICK up if you straighten it upwards because of the heavy hold.

You can feel the discomfort because of the hold slightly if you use a lot.

Pros:

1)     It helps keep hair up with a good hold

2)     It smells decent

Cons:

1)     Not exactly my favourite product because of the hold.

2)     It can frizz up sometimes if you don’t straighten it DOWNWARDS as used in female hairstyles.

3)     It can be quite expensive.

  1. Try Vo5′s heat tamer or Loreal’s one that I said. :)

Makes it all soft and silky ^^

  2. i’m a guy and i’m looking for one to use to replace my running tresseme one.

which spray would you recommend if all you want to straighten are the sideburns, fringe and the back-bottom hair ?
