Damaged Hair?

Here are a few things you can do to help look after your hair:

How do i know if my hair is damaged?

Damaged hair will dry super quickly because it is full of holes, therefor it absorbs and releases water faster. Hair will break easily, and if you look close, you can see where it is going to break because there will be a kind of kink in the hair. Split ends is another sign, and also dry straw like hair.

Help and tips:

1) For dry & damaged hair, apply leave in conditoners daily to make your hair less prone to breakage.

2) When drying your hair, always keep your hairdryer about 30cm away from your head. Your hair should never feel hot when you touch it. If it does, then you’re too close.

3) If you do need to style you hair with a hairdryer, always protect your hair with some heat defence spray or cream. Use these products if you use hair straighteners as well.

4) When you apply conditioners, use a wide tooth comb to evenly distribute the conditioner. Leave in for five minutes to allow the conditioner to penetrate the hair.

5) Use hair serums or shine sprays to give dry hair a healthy glossy sheen as well as taming flyaways and frizz.

6) Hair grows an average of 1.25cm per month, so get regular trims to avoid split ends. (Hair grows more in the summer)

7) Rinse your hair with cold water at the end of your shower, it makes damaged frizzy hair lie flat and look sleek.

8 ) Hair is 90% protein, so look out for protein based treatments for a super strengthening fix.
