I was planning to get my hair cut similar to what willie got in this vid: http://www.youtube.com/user/style06com#p/u/9/YSP9tmfViNw But i’m not sure if my hair is long enough yet. The top of my hair is about 1.75-2.00 inches. If it is long enough, what should I tell my barber to get a cut similar to that?

Hmm try shaving your sides, in that video my sides are shaved to less than 1/2 an inch. and the top is still about ~2 inches long

Its a bit plain but you got the basics going.
Try something different! Grow it out a little and see if you can style with it.
