So, I actually dyed my hair a couple of months ago with this stuff and my hair is still brown! Amazing!
For Asians, the two biggest problems with dyeing hair are:
1. The colour doesn’t take, and
2. It damages your hair
Having experienced both, I went in with low expectations, but was quite pleasantly surprised by this product. Also, both problems were avoided with a little trick I figured out.
Normally when dyeing hair, you put the dye in once and leave it in for 30 minutes. Now, four years ago when I decided to go “natural reddish blonde,” I left the dye in for 2 hours. Yes, the colour took. Yes, I was a vibrant red-head. Yes, my hair was damaged beyond repair.
Instead, what I did this time was dye my hair normally for 30 minutes and used the leftover dye to colour my hair again for another 30 minutes afterwards. The dye lasts an hour before the chemical reaction is finished so you’ll have to work quick. You won’t get intense results, but it’ll definitely be noticeable. And if you live in a sunny region, like L.A., the sun damage will make your hair lighter and lighter…
Oh yeah, and the box was only $5. That’s half the price of most brands like L’Oreal.
